Anyone have a suggestion as to how to get Uber help?

I recently open the Uber app on my cell and a screen came up saying time to upgrade the app. I clicked on the upgrade bar and another screen appeared with an old email address or mine and asked to a password.

I've had Uber for a while and email they have for me is no longer valid and I don't remember the password. All I want to do now is have Uber hook me up with my same cell number I've always had, but with the new email address so I can call up a ride when I want.

Seems Uber doesn't answer phones anymore (none of these big tech companies do anymore), they just recommend you to support services like Howly.com or ask-crew.com who charge you a monthly charge to help you...they say you can cancel at any time but first things first...they ask for your debit/credit card into before they'll help, and they'll not cheap. $45.00 and up per month.

Ridiculous.

One operative asked for me to send her a screen shot from my cell of it saying I needed to upgrade the app. I said can't I just describe to you what has happened but she insisted I seen her a screenshot.

I know how to do that on a computer but no my cell phone which I use for calls, texts and Uber and the like.

I said pls find me someone at Uber to help. She sent me a url which was form to fill out. It turned out to be a non-working url.

Can any one help?

it was the wrong site and it outlined several steps I had to take to try to get a new account.

Everything is difficult now as I believe the big tech companies have set up these support outlets as an additional revenue stream.

One can't just call up a support line directly to the tech companies anymore.

It's very frustrating. I can call up a ride online and put in my address, but once I get there, my cell still isn't working to call up a ride home.

I'm still trying to get a new account going with my new email so I can call up a ride with my cell phone.

They make it difficult by not having a direct call support deparment. They've outsourced such functions.

Then download it. You should be able to create a new account when you open the Uber app.

4. Heehee. I have Lyft too but Uber seems to offer quicker service...more drivers I think.
