Silkhenge: Little known fact about an illusive spider.

2013: Silkhenge first discovered by Troy Alexander, a Georgia Tech Student, in 2013. He found it on an excursion in Peru. It involved a strange circular formation made out of silk that looks like stonehenge. But the actual spider wasn't determined until years later.

2016: Below, male nerd scientists going full out double-rainbow giddy with the birth of a spider in a silkhenge. But none of the spiders grew to adulthood and DNA tests were inconclusive. So the adult spider is yet to be identified.

Love the fence constructed around the egg nest, looks like it’s made to keep predator insects out.
