Our parents still do not know where we are and that is ok.
Stay Feral.
Read on twitter made me smile.

(15,006 posts)I'd say their parents don't know where they are because their parents are dead or in a nursing home.

(915 posts)He once remarked to me "I'm hard to kill."
They said his grandfather, my great grandfather,
was the meanest man in California and that's why he lived so long.
But my dad's not mean at heart, but he's been through some stuff.
He's recovering from radiation treatment for lung cancer,
which they say cleared it up, so that's awesome.
He sounded good when I talked to him yesterday

(53,550 posts)Also, when my daughter would reveal to me all the places she'd been over the years, I covered my ears. What I don't know won't hurt me, but damn if she doesn't feel like she has to tell me everything!

(915 posts)about the time I was "spending the night at a friend's"
when actually we were trying to go to a reggae festival a couple hundred miles away.
We literally got there just in time for the last song lol

(53,550 posts)I really didn't need the added stress, not to mention guilt, of knowing that things were far worse than I thought.
What you did sounds a lot like one of my daughter's escapades. Fortunately, we all survived!

Every night at eleven PM the TV's and radios would announce,
"It is 11 pm, parents! Do you know where your children are?"
The college kids were children so the sheriff enforced the curfew, against the 'boomer' kids.
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
