Hurricane stress?!

Boy oh boy it's everywhere. Drivers are more aggressive, some folks seem aggravated. That said there are good people everywhere we took a bed to our daughters house in Galveston and her neighbors were very helpful moving her stuff in. Most of islanders are not freaked out, they are just going through the steps to get close to their definition of normal. The trip back to Houston is where the stress and aggression showed up.
Anyway, Folks we all have stuff going on, you do too. So take a breath.

If there is one there, is stressful. The roads are stacked up 4 exchanges at a time n I just quit driving when I’m there..even with my digital maps! My grip on the steering wheel is for dear life as the drivers tail gate n pass ya while flipping ya off! My sister drives like a speed racer n my foot is constantly moving as if I have an invisible brake pedal! I’m sure you’ve adapted n must be brave. Glad you n your family are getting back to “normal”

In 2005. Katrina was a doozie.

For future reference, you may be interested in a book, Isaac’s Storm. About a hurricane in Galveston over a hundred years ago. Maybe years from now your daughter may be able to read it. Lots of interesting info. Those in charge lacked the bells and whistles of meteorological aids we have today. Best of luck to your family.
