I am going to guess that most of us in the US will be somewhere in the Indian Ocean. The closest land mass for me was Australia.

I put in my current area; near Jacksonville fl. Placed me off the eastern coast of Madagascar which is off the south eastern coast of Africa. The Equator runs through the northern quarter of Africa. Doesn't look right.

Same result using my current zip code in NE Florida.

Also tried the zip code for the town I grew up in, just north of Boston. Here's the result. Ends up further south even though the zip code is further north.







No big deal.

Australia is below the equator, and ALL of the US is above the equator.

City Richmond Virginia says Indian Ocean but I laughed at the graphic
Richmond Va says Western Australia
Zip code says South Korea

Sounds a bit like Colossal Cave Adventure: "You are in a maze of twisty passages, all alike."

I landed about halfway between Madagascar and Australia.
Without a paddle.
Or canoe.
