(24,283 posts)At times I just don't know
How you could be anything but beautiful
I think that I was made for you
And you were made for me
And I know that I won't ever change
'Cause we've been friends
Through rain or shine
For such a long, long time
Laughing eyes and smiling face
It seems so lucky just to have the right
Of telling you with all my might
You're beautiful tonight
And I know that you will never stray
'Cause you've been that way
From day to day
For such a long, long time
And when you hold me tight
How could life be anything but beautiful
I think that I was made for you
And you were made for me
And I know that I won't ever change
'Cause we've been friends
Through rain or shine
For such a long, long time
And I must say it means so much to me
To be the one who's telling you
I'm telling you
That you're beautiful

(4,469 posts)Very prominent in Latin music, played beautifully as always by Mr. Lightfoot.
First measure has accents on the 1, the & of 2 and the 4, the second measure has accents on the 2 and 3.
Hope that helps.

(11,989 posts)Zas I parked to go to work. I would sit in the car singing until it was over not caring if I was late . My late husband and I just couldn't imagine being with anyone else and that song just said it all. I still play it at least once a week.

(18,567 posts)Shows that the Troggs actually had some versatility. Also became a smash hit for another group in 1994 when it was part of the soundtrack for a popular movie.

(33,348 posts)Covered by Boyce Avenue and used to create this video of love scenes between the characters Jamie (played by Sam Heughan) and Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe)of the Starz series Outlander, based on the books by Diana Gabaldon.
CTyankee
(68,201 posts)I never saw the series, but I know the song and wonderful Willie Nelson...
mnhtnbb
(33,348 posts)about 18 months ago and have read all nine of the books in the series. If you have Netflix, six prior seasons are on it. If you have STARZ, it has all seasons to date through the first half of season 7, and will release the second half of season 7 in November.
Outlander has become my all time favorite TV series. The chemistry between Heughan and Balfe is off the charts, bringing the love story of their characters, Jamie and Claire, to life. It's really a phenomenal production: writing, sets, costumes, locations, acting, music...it's exceptional all around.

(14,371 posts)This was the song that held me together when my husband and I were first courting and could only see each other occasionally, several weeks apart. We mostly talked online then.
*I will keep your heart with mine, till you come to me." I heard her do this in concert last year and almost fell apart.

(7,309 posts)The first one is so romantic and intense. And just so downright sexy and mood invoking to me, if you know what I mean.
The second, is so sweet and best describe my feelings about love. It's the touch, the look, how you treat each other. It's so much more than saying, "I love you."
CTyankee
(68,201 posts)Was that somehow intentional?
Lunabell
(7,309 posts)But it's definitely a gorgeous love song.
