The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsHow about posting some songs about rock and roll itself?
Just remembered this tune from Wussy from a few years back. Its about kids in the center of nowhere bonding with the music of The Who. Starts a low energy but picks up with passion. I dig it.
.
Anyhow post your tunes about the subject rock and roll
Im feeling a playlist coming on

(76,706 posts)...co-musical director for Cyndi Lauper on the True Colors tour.
Dave Rosenthal (keyboardist for Rainbow) was musical director before Rick signed on.
Dave wanted to just give the title to Rick, but Rick wouldn't have it. So, they shared the title.
The other 3 in that band were monsters.
Rick played a Steinberger for pretty much the whole show. Played a Strat on a couple & acoustic on at least one.
He got some wonderful clean tones out of that guitar.

(5,393 posts)Heard it in the car today.
As hinted at elsewhere in thread (Derringers R&R Hootchie Coo) Im a pretty big Todd Rundgren fan and he produce this one. People my age tend to forget just how huge they were at one point. HUGE crowds.
On the radio I always turn this one up, thats for sure!

(5,393 posts)Love a topic/theme music thread!
This is one of my favorites:
Always loved this version. A head, myself. Play keys in a couple GD All Stars sort of projects 3-4 times a year (strictly part time on big deal, really, but I do get to play with some musicians way above my pay grade from jam-centric original bands in the St. Louis area.) Anyhow, just really got this one into my hands this summer.
And what kind of fan would I be if I didnt answer with this one (dig the rapid meltdown on this one):
