3. I always loved talk like a pirate day when

I taught elementary school. Most of my 2nd grade class came to me reading below grade level, so I taught a lot of phonics and sounding out skills. ARRRRR was always fun. I encouraged them to exaggerate the "ar" (star, car, far) when speaking and reading. It was fun, they had fun learning. It was always a very good day with happy students.
