"While Shohei Ohtani has been a groundbreaking player for many years, his latest feat as the first 50/50 player in the history of Major League Baseball reflects not just his amazing power-and-speed talent, but his character, his drive and his commitment to all-around excellence. On behalf of Major League Baseball, I congratulate Shohei on this remarkable achievement. We are proud that he continues to take our game to new heights.

He's the best player in a long time, maybe ever.

6 hits in 6 at bats, 5 of them for extra bases, including 3 home runs.
2 stolen bases, 4 runs scored, 17 total bases & 10 runs batted in. My goodness!

And the only reason he didn’t get that is he was picked off at third trying to extend a double.

They're padding his stats.

The Marlins' manager knew the game was a lost cause and wanted to save his closer for a game they might actually win...so they put second baseman Vidal Brujan on the mound.

I suspect the REAL reason Skip Schumacher did this is he was having too much fun watching Ohtani. Since he knew his team was getting stomped anyway, why not?

Put 20 wins on those stats and he would be declared the first God of Baseball.
