I took a stab at Connections today bur after going 0 foe 2 on my first two guesses, I decided to skip it. I may take a pass on Strands as well.

But the more I play it, the easier it gets. You're actually training your brain to see the words. Also, if you are stumped, leave it and go back to it a few hours later. In the meantime your brain is still working on it (the "Zeigarnik effect" ) as you do other things and you'll be surprised how quickly you see the words.
