As in what goes into the decision for you to like a post.
For me is it something I feel I should hear about. It maybe something I dont like whats happening. But I feel I should be aware of. For instance if its about some stupid maga maneuvers to corrupt a system or idiot statements from maga. I just want to know what we are up against. It might be good news for a campaign or something that makes me have a sense of hope. It might just be a feel good post whether animals or music.
Ive seen a lot of posts with a lot of comments but fewer likes. I appreciate the person who brought it to my attention and show that by liking the post. I do get moments where I think Ugh, thats terrible and pause before liking.
Now just to add as a side note I almost wish there was a love button but that would just confuse things. It would also be a problem for my fat fingers if I dont have my stylus pen. I inherited farmer hands. Im in awe of my kids and grandkids who can rip through a text using their thumbs.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
