"Oh What a Beautiful Morning"-- Oklahoma
Many others for whom the film or theater production has gotten a little overdone and could benefit from some "time outs"...

Forward 1982 their "last" tour at the old Shea Stadium: don't remember what song has finished, and we're sitting there. The place is sort of noisy.
Suddenly I hear the quiet opening of piano notes.
I sort of gasp, and grab my sister's hand...and she gets annoyed...like "wth?".
I said, "Listen!" Then she gasped, and grabs mine back. Finally LROM live!
It was glorious!

(39,153 posts)Movie musicals annoy the heck out of me, they always have. I just can't stand interrupting dialog when they burst into song. RHPS is really the only musical I've ever enjoyed. Who could resist Tim Curry in fishneta? I tolerated "The Sound of Music" when I was a kid So I'm weird, lol.
Edited to add: I forgot about Tommy. That one was good, too. Whoops.
