The Thing (preferably the original) was also my choice assuming this involves getting to talk to the monster.

The Eric from the books, but in the physical form of Alexander Skarsgaard, as in the tv show.

When Lestat was mortal, his family were well off aristocrats who became destitute due to squandering the family fortune.

Lestat had dreams where he would kill his father and brothers. Due to these dreams he would escape his home and always headed to the monastery. His family would find him and take him back home.

As a mortal man, he lost his horse, dogs and almost his own life killing a pack of wolves for his village. His village rewarded him red velvet cloak and boots made from the pelts of the wolves. Soon after, Lestat became severely depressed.

Lestat enters the theater and becomes an actor. Unwittingly, he catches the attention of a vampire named Magnus who kidnaps Lestat and eventually turns Lestat in a vampire. Magnus doesn't explain anything and kills himself with fire.

Lestat would ponder if "Are my actions good or bad?", "Is there a God?", "Am I in His plan?", "What happens after death?", "What makes a person happy?"

His mother Gabrielle became ill and started to die. In a desperate attempt, Lestat turn Gabrielle into a vampire. Gabrielle eventually became cold and distant towards Lestat.

i'd love to have dinner with Death of the discworld.

if he's not available (off murdering a curry in ankh-morpork perhaps), i'd be interested in having dinner with the Rob Anybody from the Chalk clan of the Nac Mac Feegle.
