Foster Failure Update!
After I finished my shift in Strays today, which was much more eventful than it should have been (Natalie, the chief cat wrangler, was out, and Melody, who is still pretty new, got bit by one of our more rambunctious barn-cats-to-be), I wandered into Adoptables, which I usually do, to say hello to old friends and watch the kittens playing on the floor. (Kittens and cats are allowed out in there, and it's fun to watch.) Two black kittens were engaged in a game of "I'll bite your tail if I catch you", and Barnabas, a very large tuxie boy, was lounging in his favorite window, regarding them benevolently. But what caught my eye was....Sarai! She was sitting in her kennel, looking rather morose, but there. Apparently she spent a couple of days with the animal care manager, who determined that she should be adoptable to the right home. It may take a few weeks or months, but she is there.
Picture me, breathing a HUGE sigh of relief!
