What a day so far

My father in law passed away at 12:30 am or so. His wife and daughter (my wife) were in the room. Their apartment in a rest home with a hospice nurse there. God bless those people.

About 15 minutes ago I’m outside having a smoke. The boy - dog - is outside too. He jumps or there’s some weird movement. Come on buddy. I sit down inside, kick the legs up on the chair, he climbs up in the arm of the chair and he has a 4-6 gash in hs skin. Right side. Not a lot of blood. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I call the first place on Google. They direct me to an emergency vet I had no idea about. Very new but clearly professional.
