this thought / action kept me going today

behave as if you have hope especially when you don't. No, it isn't easy.
But sometimes it's not much harder than picking up your guitar
when your brain's like "we should practice now,"
and your heart's like "not feelin it,
but I guess it couldn't hurt"

I was hoping to avoid the news for a few days to try to prepare myself emotionally,
but I found out by accident sooner than I hoped

The time I tried mandolin I found it too small for the way my fingers think.
in a perfect world I'd have an Irish bouzouki to play around on
