(60,367 posts)In 2016, someone in Amsterdam found an old thin silver coin in an old wooden cabinet. It turned out to be the second known New England Threepence, minted in Boston around 1652. The colonists were making their own coins without permission from the British crown, and were ordered to stop when the King found out. There are dozens of New England shillings known, and several sixpences, but this is only the second threepence ever discovered. It just sold for over $2 million a few days ago. One more lucky old cabinet, and you can buy your car!

(1,333 posts)I bought the car in 83 while in the Army. On base they had a do it yourself shop you could work on cars, tools and lifts even a paint booth.
I tore down the engine bored it 30 over, high performance cam forged pistons and got 351 heads at a junkyard ported them to match intake and headers, got rid of the c4 auto replaced it with a 4 speed manual from the junkyard. That car kept me out of trouble with the amount of time I spent on it.
Man it was fun to drive nothing like a long duration cam in a v8 with a stick.
The new hotrods handle better and are faster, but there was just something raw and powerful in the feel of those old engines.

(16,524 posts)No, really. Bright red convertible, bought in Long Beach CA in '67. Loved driving it up and down the coast, then it came with me to Colorado in the early 1970s. That little thing drove like crazy in the snow, never did put snow tires on it. Traded it away because I couldn't afford to have the seal around the convertible top replaced, and winters were intense back then. Now and then I'll see one on craigslist, same color and all, amazed at what they sell for. Screw Nader.

started with in '54. I actually had a '63 Mark ll 3000 but the final year, and thus most desirable now is the '67.
All great and fun to drive cars though. Very pricey now in the collector's market. The highest price for a '67 Mark lll 3000 was $200,000 a few years ago.

No time to go through total model info etc so just putting some general brands out there 🙂👍
If silver then turquoise interior, if red a custom pale green interior, if metallic cerulean blue a turquoise interior.

Ive owned Porches and BMWs that were big disappointments in comparison.
Then GM bought Saab and killed the brand. Not long after GM went bankrupt. It was saved by the US government and gifted to a bunch of oligarchs. Yay US industry!!
