40-some-odd guests coming for Thanksgiving lunch. But I will be here!

Our meal won't happen until 4 or 5 and I always get my sugar screwed up by the schedule fouling me up. At least nobody has to get up at 6:30 am and blow out of here by 7:00. I might be able to eat an early breakfast and then a light lunch.

It's just me and my husband tomorrow with the family gathering on Saturday for a group dinner.

So we'll have a small Thanksgiving for just us and the family to-do on Saturday! Fun all around.

I have to run down to France first thing in the morning, and I have a full schedule there, but I should be back here in Sprout City by 8 PM my time, which is 2 PM in DC. Plus the train is 80 minutes each way, and wifi reception is good for most of the trip.

It's just me but I'm still doing a feast for one.

The last two years I've cooked a Cornish Game Hen because they look so dang cute. But there's so little meat on those birds... I'm not sure you could even make a sandwich!

So this year I upgraded to a 3.5 lb chicken. It's drying in the fridge as I type. (supposed to help crisp the skin)

I made stuffing today that I'll reheat tomorrow. And I purchased two frozen sides... green bean casserole and some sort of corn/cornbread casserole. I have a couple of potatoes so I may make some mashed.
