(68,918 posts)Sometime mid-January. If I was going to take it down right after Christmas...the idea of a tree would be pointless. I can't help it but I laugh at all the trouble the people who are in a rush to take them go through even to get them up. Pointless to not leave it up. But that's my opinion.

(15,385 posts)a tree in years and my holiday decorating is in the category of minimalist. Red table cloth on my table, this year I actually splurged for a pointsettia, and I did purchase some pine boughs that I put them in a vase. Done!
Needless to say, cleanup will be super easy.

(16,698 posts)We put it up the first weekend in December, and will tend to take it down the first weekend after New Years. That way the house is all decorated for our various dinner parties.

(24,266 posts)We're both eastern European heritage. My Grandmothers always celebrated the "Feast of the Three Kings" on Jan. 6 and growing up, my family always left the tree up past Jan. 6.

I don't ever remember it being up later that 12/31.
