Honestly, the prices are good but not fantastic. The quality of their meat is very good. Many things I don't buy because a lot of it would just go to waste before I used it. I joined mainly for the prescription drug prices, they are dramatically cheaper than other pharmacies, and I need that because I don't have prescription coverage.

Invariably my membership pays for itself each year when I make a large purchase like an appliance or an electronic or bifocals.

And the rotisserie chicken and the seaweed salad. Mmmm.

my 82 year old mother does most of our shopping. About every 6 weeks she heads off to Costco with my brother. We split some items with him, and he buys for himself and his family. Their meat is extraordinary. Their pumpkin pie is great as are their sheet cakes. We just got their coupons in the mail, which is great. If they have a new item and there's a coupon we're more likely to try it.

I have bought a computer through Costco, they extend the warranty by 1 year. I had a problem with it the first year & I didn't call Hewlet-Packard, I called Costco's Concierge service and they attended to everything for me.

I have the executive membership @ $110 per year, which gives me a 2% rebate at the end of my membership year, with a minimum of $55 back. However buying a large item like a computer or TV would give me more back.

Enjoy!

Just the 2 of us - no need to buy in bulk

But - they are a reputible company

Box stores like CostCo don't necessarily work for me. I can only buy non perishables or there is too much waste.

Ours is usually a few pennies a gallon cheaper... although that by itself probably isn't enough good reason for just 2 people...

There's only 3 people in our household now but we often keep our granddaughters too so they help eat stuff before it spoils.

the place is damn dangerous!

Wine, books, gifts, clothing, office supplies, gadgets, milk, creamer, ice cream, meat, bananas, computer software, appliances, computers, eye glasses, flowers, pet meds, dog beds, plants, trees, bicycles....I could go on and on.

Yeah, they sell 30 rolls of toilet paper and water by the case but they have plenty of other crap that isn't sold in multiples.

I am not convinced they save me any money whatsoever but they are convenient!
