"Nutcrackers" (HULU) HIGHLY recommend this as a holiday or other Movie. Ben Stiller.

This was a really good performance by Stiller.
A man taken out of his element.

His sister’s long haired kids (4) are a hilarious mix.

The ending is beautiful (dance) art.

Very well done.

Watched it today. Made me homesick, since I grew up on a farm in Ohio. It was filmed about 35 miles from our old place. sinkingfeeling Dec 2024 #3

Interesting story about how that movie came to be, The boys are all brothers and play themselves in the movie. I think the house is also the house they actually live in.

We were in Yellow Springs. I think we were just about to move to Virginia.

I remember going back to see a house we’d live in when I was a baby. I don’t remember living in the house. We walked up to see the basement with the hot water heater still intact. Other than that the entire house was gone. Spotless green grass yard. No debris of any kind. Not even splintered lumber. One of the tornadoes literally vacuumed up everything and took it away.
