(5,882 posts)They drop in whenever they wish.
This used to bother me but, not so much anymore.
We have 40+ (!!) cousins, on my husbands side, who all live within a 3 mile radius of our home. We all get together for Thanksgiving, XMas & parties throughout the year.
I love my solitude- So, this gets me a bit weary.
But, I am grateful for all of them - especially the
little ones- 12 under the age of 9 right now.

(76,954 posts)...when they were alive, they were all in a much bigger city only 30 minutes or so away.
Was never a problem. Neither set of parents were the type to drop by unannounced, so close proximity wasn't an issue.

We see them probably every 2-3 weeks when they are up here, so phone calls are limited since we see them fairly often. Then we usually spend a week or so in Florida with them. They both text her fairly often though.
