-12 Here in central Pa. Turned on the gas heater in the basement for extra heat. I never have a problem with frozen water pipes but I let the cold water drip a teeny bit so that I sleep better.

My outdoor tame feral kitty is spending all his time in his heated little cabin. I hope the warming pad can keep up with this.

May have been 40 to 50 years ago I had an outside job in central Pa. The entire month of February it never got above 0 for a high. No one got sick, it was too cold for the germs.

The great thing about these subzero cold snaps, which we get a few of every winter, is that afterwards anything above zero feels pretty comfortable. 21 is just about warm enough for my mailman to start wearing shorts again.
