2) This brings up a 'Share' popup. In that popup, click the blue 'Copy' button. This copies its web address (aka URL) to your clipboard.
3) Open a DU post, and hit 'Paste'. The video URL will be seen into the message window as text.
4) Click the blue 'Post' button on DU. It will then appear as it does below when opened.

was my favorite athlete of all time. I have so many memories of that team and that season. It was before all the games were broadcast on television, so it was a rare treat to get to watch a game on TV, but I listened to every game on the radio, every night. It made such an impression on me, I could still recite specifics of a lot of games that season. Once they adopted "We Are Family" as their theme song (I read it happened during a rain delay on June 1, 1979), it just felt inevitable that the team would win it all. It was such an amazing season and I have such great memories including the comeback from down 3 games to 1 in the World Series.
Of course it's very sad that they haven't been back to the World Series since, but that 1979 Pirates season will always be very special to me.

Clubs and venues included the actual YMCA in SF, Trucadero, smaller clubs like the End Up, Mind Shaft, and Bath Houses, too.
Sylvester was part of that relatively early scene.

(10,180 posts)Good post!
I've mentioned it before but I REALLY don't care for Disco. Having said that, I'll go with
Sylvester:
...Cool story. When I was in my early 20's my best friend had moved from TX to CA with her fiancé. She got pregnant so they moved the wedding up. A couple of other friends and I went up there to be in the wedding. OMG what an AMAZING time we had. It was before I quit drinking.......
Anyway, one afternoon three of us were cruising around Sausalito. We ended up at an adorable pub in an absolutely gorgeous little town, Mill Valley. We walked in and there was a band on stage just jammin'. It was Sylvester! We ended up smoking some weed with him....He was SO cool.....I'll never forget that experience....

(1,301 posts)I saw the movie The Martian and most of the music was disco because the commander of the Hermes expedition loved disco. It was a bit of a running gag throughout the movie with astronaut Mark Watney commenting on her choice in music and then later moving to the beat of a disco song while he's driving the Mars rover. After watching the movie, I went to the local library and checked out a CD of disco music. I'll admit, I like disco music now.
