I've got some leaking on plumbing in my hall bath under the sink. I'm ditching my plastic pipe seals and going with the rubber ones. Is most under sink Ptrap etc...bath plumbing 1 1/4 piping or 1 1/2?
I guess I could buy both but just wondering.

(56,696 posts)1. if it is just the drain, take it with you to the hardware store
trick with drain pipes (and lots of other plumbing) - don't over tighten things. if there is a risk of someone using sink while you are gone, turn off the water to the faucets and/or put a bucket under the open spot.

Kitchen sink is usually 1 1/2".
