Is anyone else tired of seeing

Okay, don't hate me for posting this, but I'm tired of seeing ads on TV for St. Jude's, Wounded Warrior, ASPCA, etc.. I don't mind seeing them occasionally but seems they're on like 10 or 15 times an hour on any channel. Don't get me wrong, they're probably worthy charities but I think people would be getting tired of being asked over and over to donate much the same way people get tired of politicians continuously sending us letters and email asking for more money.

So, do you agree or disagree?

1. I mute the animal ones

Too upsetting. Plus I'm sorry they go on too long. Several minutes. I get it. This abuse happens and they need help.

I'm OK w the others. Its Great kids w cancer get free top notch care. That's how it should be.

WW just makes me think, your legs are blown off over a made up war excuse to enrich bush. Sad

2. Agree. I mute the ASPCA ads. Too difficult to watch.

I already donate to several animal charities.

The thing that bugs me about them is that they always ask for a monthly donation. I would be willing to make an occasional donation to any of them, but a monthly donation is just more than I can do.

6. I don't see any commercials because I haven't had cable for years. Now when I hear one (visiting etc), it's a

shock to the system, harsh and abrasive.

7. I change the channel almost immediately for all commercials

back in the 80s when remotes became normal I realized right away thy were to be used against my enemy: the commercial!

The ones you mention are particularly egregious.

8. it's the same with mail solicitations

they send so often you tune out - I think they would get more response if they were more selective

the same can be said about requests for political donations.......
