I promised to marry him when we were in kindergarten. Went through the school system together but I rarely ran into him in HS. I heard he was in gov’t in California, not sure in what capacity. I’d like to think he was smart enough not to go MAGA, but who knows.

(Yes, I'm female.) He had a bad reputation and was an usher at our local theater. I was a 'good girl': no petting, just kisses. Even though he gave me a pearl ring, by the end of summer he asked for the ring back.

He wanted to date a classmate with big boobs. LOL!!!

Cute kid in 6th grade. Blue-eyed blond.
Second was Gil, another blue-eyed blond.
First husband was Larry, a blue-eyed blond who thought he could hit me and get away with it. Wrong!
Eventually Kenneth, the love of my life. We were married 42 years, until cancer took him from me. And yes, a blue-eyed blond.
Hmmm ... Ladies prefer blonds?

I’m not going to mention her name here, because I can’t be confident I never used it as a password recovery question somewhere. But it was my last year of high school, we were together for a year (mostly long-distance). No, we didn’t wind up together, but we’re still in touch, and text almost every day.

Others may differ, of course. A lady friend of mine was in a coffee shop in the Village circa 1962 when some guy started hitting on her. She agreed to go home with him, and once there, he said "Well, take off your clothes and let's get started." Amused, she asked him "Don't you want to know my name first?" He replied "Why would I want to know your name before I find out of we're any good in bed together?"

His name was Shel Silverstein.

We went to different high schools, and drifted apart. I haven't seen here since perhaps 1964, but as far as I know she's still alive, has been married at least twice, and has had at least 1 child in each marriage.
My, how time carries us forward.

I am/was so socially awkward that I was afraid to have one. Should have been Alyson in high school but she was a basketball player and popular - and that made me even more afraid. I do think she liked me.

She had dark hair, wore glasses, and I sat next to her in band.

Unfortunately, she pulled my heart out and stomped on it a year later when we went to Middle School and she dumped me for an 8th grader.
