6. I'm lucky to realize this

last night some of us here in DU were discussing the various roles that cats play in our lives/households...this thread reminds me of other critters I "chat" with: two crows in the neighborhood who appear to recognize me and are quite cordial over the past few years...the local group of hummingbirds who "own" our two feeders and will remove themselves maybe 5 ft away while I change feeders and then return even before I turn back towards the door...and, of course, the local dogs who want to be scritched even though I'm told they don't like most men...in these turbulent dark days, I'm trying to grab a bit of happiness anywhere I can...to all: cheers and enjoy the weekend, OSD
