Roses without names

Took these pictures a few minutes ago. I’m not a rose guy, and I don’t know varieties very well. They’re both coming in nicely, providing a little burst of beauty while in bloom.

I also remember something about a yellow rose having some significance or meaning EYESORE 9001 May 2025 #7

I just googled..yellow roses were placed at the 9 11 Memorial on Veterans Day. Deuxcents May 2025 #8

I think the bottom flower is rose of Sharon.

Rose of Sharon is of the hibiscus family and is usually a single row of petals.

And. The red one looks like it might be a Blaze rose. Does it smell good?

Easy! But I don’t think the one is a rose of Sharon. Here they don’t bloom this early, and the leaves look like a regular rose. 🌹

I can’t tell if was a one time event or if the do it every year..I didn’t know this so I’m glad you brought it up..always learning something new here 🙏
