Also new that year was "flop sweat" which does surprise me.

3. Won't say which year is mine, but I'm a bit surprised -- maybe sad -- that "desegregate" was not coined earlier.

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, since even portions of our armed forces were segregated back then. I guess better late than never.
