(25,392 posts)You might wanna change the oldest age for Gen X to 47.

(55,476 posts)My guess is that it would be a bell curve, with it's peak at Gen X, and positively skewed on the right

(5,604 posts)(personal reminder: remember to be more polite with my posts because my parents generation seems to have the majority here!) Good to see, but I wish we had younger DU'ers joining too. If the majority of us are sportin' the Tommy Chong look, then we are doomed.

My boomer half did make it to thirteen Dead shows, though.

(5,604 posts)I saw many of the great 60's and 70's artists like Clapton, Jeff Beck, Lou Reed, the Who and the Stones, Allman bros 2x, Skynyrd and lots of reunion bands (ie Ringo Starr and company), etc. But as an X-er also saw SRV 2x, the Cult, Lenny Kravitz, and Ministry 2x.

(34,536 posts)There are a couple of different definitions of what is the "Baby Boom". Some have the Baby Boom going until 1960. Others have it going until 1965. The "Crackers" were born between 1961-1964--the period of overlap between the two versions.

(14,374 posts)I want more of them here at DU. More of them in the work place. More of them in all the organizations I belong to.
We vampirish Baby Boomers crave an infusion of fresh blood!

(2,149 posts)I was born in 1984, and thus I'm technically a Millenial. That said, I identify far more with Gen X fashion and music trends. Especially the music.

(1,117 posts)I was born nine months after the end of WWII.
When I was around 50 years old, and my mother was 82, I asked her if she and my father had said "Hey, the war's over, lets have another baby!" She said it was something like that.

(40,158 posts)I'm a boomer, but there's a huge divide caused by the end of the draft in 1973.
I never had to register for the draft, and I was never subject to the draft.
