Is it safe for a 14 year old girl to travel from PNW to Tenn in today's environmenr?

Flying unaccompanied.

My granddaughter.
Her mother lives in PNW. Her father lives in TN.

I have seen how men look at her.
This would be her first trip alone. Usually her older brother travels with, but he has a job now.

Glad that's not my decision. What's your granddaughter think? dem4decades Jun 2025 #3
Make sure someone is at the gate to greet her. You should also be with her as she boards. Fla Dem Jun 2025 #5
Direct flight with unaccompanied child ticket should be fine. Phoenix61 Jun 2025 #6

That way you have her covered from take off to landing. Also make sure she is boarded first before everyone else and someone is at the gate to greet her. Not sure you can do that, but try.

Parent should be able to take her to the gate. Not sure about meeting her.
