We're under power company alert anyway to try to not use electricity esp. oven/stove from 5 to 8 pm due to high usage from high temps outside!

6. A friend told me to make yogurt in an instant pot

Just set it to yogurt-boil, and...

Well, it never got hot enough that way, so I closed up the lid and hit "boil" and after the required 24 minutes, I hit "off". Then I couldn't get the lid off. (I am not an experienced instant potter, if you can't tell already.)

I didn't realize you weren't supposed to have the pressure valve closed with yogurt.

I realized the only way I could get the lid off was to turn the valve to release.

Boiling hot milk all over the kitchen. All over. It was horrendous.

A yogurt disaster.

Fortunately, it made my friend laugh and laugh and laugh.

7. oh jeez. even when i accidently broiled my tart crust it was edible + fine. ok. the pineapple tidbit covered ham looked

creapy, but it tasted great. thnk god i have kitchen skills.
