In honor of deb55: street sins (ok, signs) that make you laugh, think, go wtf? or

otherwise. Strange translations count as do other signs.

Mine first: Thickly Settled. I was driving yesterday when I saw this and laughed because I always think this is how I feel as I get older. I am thickly settling.

But gee the sign doesn’t have to rub it in!

away (rare) or I can’t decide or my mind goes blank - I can’t think at all.

At work people were told never to leave a birthday card on my desk because I’d spend so much time thinking about what I wanted to say that I didn’t sign it.

They would end up just bringing me the card last and when I looked up with an OMG look, what do I do they’d say Just. Sign. It.

I know that signs like that are supposed to be understood no matter what language you speak but if I was playing Family Feud, the home addition I’d never have an answer!!

Where is that?

When I was young:

Thickly Settled sign right next to an old cemetery.

On top of a gas station that had some kind of food service inside (I never stopped in) said;

Eat Here and Get Gas!

Both were in NH.
