13 phrases selfish people use to manipulaate you (yahoo) - well written article describes behaviors used against us

and that we may, sadly use against other people. This sort of thing could be taught in school to the benefit of students especially teens. Certainly this kind of talk never happened in my family...

Most of these are phrases kids hear from their parents at least occasionally. As such, they are not necessarily abusive, it's a question of the degree and uses to which they're being put.

They always pretended to be so generous and kind, that I didn't realize how selfish and narcissistic they really were, until I started therapy.

the other 2 could lead to a very productive conversation. But all of the comments are manipulative and potentially abusive.

Some are showing the traits of introverts and extroverts. In all of the articles I can see at least one negative trait that I identify with. I think it's normal that we have some balance between the good and bad traits.
