where a construction worker somehow hand got encase in tar and they took him to a small medical emergency facility where the doctor(s) figured out that mayonnaise really does work.

As to bugs????????? I don't know.

That was in the days of pump jockeys.

We used to use a mix of glycerin and dish soap to remove bugs from windshields. We didn't have time to screw around scraping them off so the glycerin really helped.

3. I've used mayo to remove price stickers

and water marks on finished wood.

I've switched to olive oil for the stickers. If I use mayo on wood, it is more effective if the stains are fresh.

If you try it on your car, do a test in a hidden area. People used to egg cars as a prank and ruin the finish.
