As I went out this morning to bring Cuddles in from his Night Stalker persona, the morning dew teased my toes and feet in a refreshing way. It reminded me that having a sensational experience requires more than senses.

It's 2:30am here on Hawaii Island and I can't sleep so I'm sitting on the couch in the dark with a poodle and reading sunglasses so I can surf my phone quietly and not strain the eyes.
All I can hear are the coqui frogs and the palm trees are in silhouette against the moonlight outside. The calm and cooler air of the night helps me get ready for another attempt at sleep and soon I'll pat the sleeping dog again and slip quietly back into the bedroom and into bed.
