It is an excellently made film by any standards, but in my opinion it is the chemistry of the lead actors that make you emotionally involved.

and puts them into extraordinary situations. His eye and his editing
are unparalleled.

As withTo Catch a Thief he took the hottest property
in Hollywood: Cary Grant and put him in mortal danger.

While Hitch looked down on actors, he always made then look great.

Plus the filming is superb along with the locations.

This is one of my favorite movies, in fact I’ll see if I can find it today. It’s too hot to work outside!

The cinematography is great.
The characters are superb & the acting is genuine.
Things happen you don't expect. (At least a half-dozen.)
Plus, it has one of the most famous film flubs in movie history!
