9. Started as

A bass player when Beatles arrived.
Switched to acoustic guitar in the Navy.
Now obsessed with acoustics. Too embarrassed to say how many I have. But, playing, even just to the dog, soothes my mind and soul with all hell going in here now.
Go learn, with YouTube and others to teach, no excuse.
Wish I could play flute. Was gifted an amazingly crafted Navajo one from a student years ago.
Also want to learn harmonica with a neck rack.
Any help? To me it’s like trying to write with both hands, two different stories.😤😫.

10. Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, Keyboard, Percussion...

Guitar was my primary musical instrument and a lot of the other stuff I learned because my band was playing it out. The mandolin on Losing My Religion is an example of that. You pick up a lot of things paying out in a rock band for over 20 years. The truth is that I was the primary singer so my voice was actually my prime instrument.

11. I played french horn all through school

I also played trumpet, altonium, mellophone, and had one semester of piano class. As an adult, I taught myself electric bass, guitar, and drums. Sadly, I have not played any of them in many years. I still have 2 guitars in my basement, gathering dust.

I didn't make much money at it, but I had a great time. I got to run sound for a lot of legendary people back in the 20th century too. I most played rock, blues and top forty.

Last time I did a deep dive "clean-out" of the garage, I found a box just filled with sheet music-everything from classical to a lot of popular music of the late 60s and 70s-and that really made me wish I had a piano. But, alas...

I tried acoustic guitar, but I was never consistent enough to really become adept. Oh, well...

I am a professional musician, currently an organist/choirmaster. I have a doctoral degree is organ, harpsichord and carillon. I used to play in a bagpipe band many years ago. My favorite music is classical, Celtic, and Klezmer. Music has been my life for over 60 years. I don't know what I'd do without it.

I'm a passable visual artist, but no kind of musician.

I've been a member of a small handbell choir since 2012.

I have a wonderful old upright grand player piano built in 1918, made in Chicago by the Gulbransen company. It is one of my most prized possessions.
