My niece's dog died last night, after a short illness.
Gooseberry, Goosey, was an anchor for my niece. Losing a dog is always tough, and my niece is going through a rough time in her life right now, so this will be devastating. My heart aches for her today.

I still miss my last dog, and I've had my current dog for 5 years.
Sending good thoughts to your niece. 
Our dogs are our buddies. If they hurt so do we. Give her a big DU hug from us dog lovers.
