Tonight I destroyed a craven monster that had slipped into my apartment.

It was only one mosquito, but its a start.

1. I walk at dawn with the pup every morning and while those in my group wear repllent, we see early morning fishermen

in shorts, walking the tall grass near the little lake at the park, and they have told me before they don't wear anything to repel mosquitoes. Yikes. Colorado has its first death already, and several people are hospitalized. I get that it is a pain in the neck but really?

I have a feeling some of "your" mosquitoes are coming in the big hose that dumps hot air/feeds into my portable A/C unit in the bedroom. Not sure what to do about it, but consider your kill a welcome start.

2. I think they ride in on the dog.

My dog has such a thick coat even ticks don't know where to go. Once they are inside, they find me.

I've seen these folks who wear no repellent. It helps a little. But mostly they just love me. I think its genetic.

4. they have a preference for type O blood and guess what blood type I am... sigh...

3. Set part of a tire on fire.

That’s what we did at parties on the Virginia peninsula. Not all the time but it works. Pro tip.
