4. Bc I'm aNYC'r I Doubley Love Ghosterbusters! And a True Story...

So there I am it's ?Novemberish 1983. I'm working in Midtown Manhattan. I also have been going more vegetarian in the past ? 2 yrs, or so. So going to, checking out more specilized food stores with more varied offerings.
Irrelevant? Nope, you'll see. 😉

Of course, post-5PM it's dark! This evening it will become particularly windy...
and I'm heading quite southward to the far Westside of Soho near the Hudson River. Because thst's where there's a new Holistic, and Vegitarian leaning food store opened! Oh, yay!

It's a really cool, big store. I emerge loaded down with bags! Can't remember if they're so new they ran out of plastic bags, didn't have them and I've got two paper bags stuffed with goodies! And the wind is blowwwwing!

I go one avenue (2-3 blocks) eastward, but I've got more to go. I'm on the north side and diagonally across the street as I get close to crossing are very bright lights! Wow.

There's this small building. A hub bub of people, specialized lighting. There's a funny looking sign hanging over a big double door. Kind of reminds me of Casper, but w a red circle, and slash through it over it.
Well... that's intriguing!!
But it's fripping cold, and I still have a walk, maybe 2+ avenues to go, with my
chock-full bags. Six blocks at least... darn. I keep going.

Foward, X months into ?summer 1984. Movie thearter. Ghostbusters! Laughing away!

But then...

We (the audience) arrive at the GB HQ! Yeah!
A small building, and there's that "funny" Casperish ghost....
with International "NO" Symbol: red circle with a slash running through it....

Oh, my goodness, I passed them filming it back then! Arrrggggg!
I was soooooo annoyed!!! 😑😬
For a good while! 😄

It does make for a pretty funny story. I can say I caught a glimpse of a future mega hit in the making. Still love the occasional rewatch. 👍
