My first lounge post in God knows how long. Why don't more Burger places use shredded lettuce?

I love it, I know of only two that do it and that’s Habit Burger and I believe Red Robin.

I believe most people would prefer it if they realized the difference and had it once in a while.

1. Really?? Shredded lettuce?? Tell us, what's the difference??

As a rule, I NEVER have lettuce or tomato on my cheeseburger. But tell me shredded lettuce would make it better??

3. I can't explain it you'd have to try it, do you have a Habit Burger around?

Someone here reminded me the big Mac has it I guess although I’m not really a fan of McDonald’s but you could try that also, I think you’ll see what I mean.

Not a big fan of McDonald’s in general but yes, I remember that now. Next time I’m there that’s what I’ll get.

5. I think they avoid shredding the lettuce because it wilts so quickly

Whatever they shred for the night, they have to use it or else they throw it out. It doesn't keep till the next day.
Restaurants hate throwing away stuff like that.

But I agree that it's nice to have fresh lettuce and tomato on a burger. Yum!
