Trying to figure out how to post memes

From Imgur to DU.

I hope I can post memes Sunday, but I'm having trouble doing it on my android phone. I uploaded memes from my phone to Imgur, but haven't figured out the next step. I posted a text link to a meme, but can't get the actual picture to post.

If anyone has tips, thank you!

1. Images

I use this to post images. I copy the link and post that to DU. It does work..

4. You need to copy the image link with the file extension included

Some sites display a preview page, and the url is not the actual file address. You need to open the image in a new tab, or right-click on the image and copy image link, then post the full address that includes the file extention at the end of it (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc.)

7. I was doing that

On my phone, I don't get multiple tabs. I have to open DU in and Imgur in the other. There were other barriers.
I'm not at home. My phone is hooked up to my friend's wifi, but my tablet isn't. I knew using my phone would be problematic. I got a good start figuring it out and appreciate replies.

8. If you post the full image URL with the extention, it should display

in your posts. Unless the host is blocking hotlinks, which image hosts do not.

Can you post the URL here that is giving you trouble?

3. postimages.org sucks, they limit the number of views then block the image

After so many views, the image gets blocked and that blue box displays instead. Pretty much any other image hosting site is better.

6. I've never had that happen. I've posted here with Postimages and had a couple of hundred views without a blue box.

9. It happens quite frequently

I don't know what the quota is, but there is one. If the thread has many views, it will eventually block that image. Have you never seen that blue postimages box?

14. I don't have a paid account. I have seen the blue box on some threads. I only use Postimages from my phone and

use Flickr from my laptop.

I've been using that site to post images for quite a while, and have NEVER had that happen.. Just saying.
