(9,742 posts)The Jim Jarmusch film, with Johnny Depp? That's my guess.
Harker
(18,162 posts)I think he made one after "Dead Man."
Oddly enough, John Hurt, who was also in "Dead Man", had his next to last film role in another Jim Jarmusch film.

(9,742 posts)Plus I'm heavily biased towards Jim Jarmusch, I just love all his films!

(18,162 posts)I haven't seen "Paterson" yet, but loved "The Only Lovers Left Alive", John Hurt's penultimate film.

(18,162 posts)My first thought of John Hurt is always Kane in "Alien", but he was phenomenal as Merrick!

(33,471 posts)I saw it after it came out, and re-watched it last night.
I like Johnny Depp, and Robert Mitchum is one of my all-time favorite actors, but I wouldn't call it a "good movie."
The all-star cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, John Hurt, and Crispin Glover.
JoseBalow
(9,742 posts)I admit it was a best guess on my part.
I agree, the movie was kind of slow, and I think it tried too hard to be deeper than it needed to be. But I did enjoy it, and I do remember Robert Mitchum being in it.
And yes, the cast was pretty great indeed!

(18,162 posts)There are a bunch of great lines in "Dead Man", and it's nice to see Nobody in greater detail after "Ghost Dog."

1) What actor turned down the role of Vincent Vega?
2) What actor turned down the role of the aging boxer, Butch Coolidge?
