Is it ok to promote an authors new book on DU?

A woman that I know from work wrote a new book. Her 1st. I think DUers may have an interest.
The link would be non amazon.

Our rule against commercial spam notes that “It's fine for established members to plug or post links to their own products, services, or publications every now and again.” I think that would include letting DUers know about your friend’s work, if you think it’s something DUers would find relevant.
