🤔
There's a chocolate (great chocolate chips, brownies) plus other desserts place I have get back to that has a ?
lemon bar. Very"bright" tasting.
Pecan pie
There was a small pie company that made a
sour cream apple walnut pie
I wish I liked key limes (although it's been?20+ yrs) bc I love lime juice- but found key lime pie too strong.
What about you?
(luckily I have a Mocha Frappachino in the fridge ready to go 😄🥰 )

(510 posts)for us ... slices of Sara Lee pound cake slathered with Apple jelly! So simple but Yum! Still love it!
electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)I wonder how apple jelly would go on certain cheeses on crackers, or crusty roll!
catbyte
(39,304 posts)I love the tart/sweet combination.

(596 posts)half orange sherbet to remind me of being a kid eating creamsicles; or maybe big maple bar from the local bakery. I really would love to try that sour cream apple walnut pie you mentioned!
electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)Oh, I forgot about maple!
I've had maple candy from Vetmont! Very tasty!
And probably a maple donut when the first Tim Hortins opened in Manhattan.

(2,560 posts)But I really like those other non-chocolate desserts I mentioned, too. I had some banana pudding yesterday at Golden Corral. It was heavenly!

electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)why have them instead of chocolate whatever! 👍
mwmisses4289
(4,714 posts)mug cakes, some ice cream.
electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)And I just looked up how to make a chocolate mug cake. Yum! 😄
mwmisses4289
(4,714 posts)And I love mug cakes, because portion control and you can make them to cater to you allergies and the best part is they take maybe 10 minutes, tops, to make.
electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)Think I've heard "lephants ears".
mwmisses4289
(4,714 posts)I guess they do kinda look like elephants ears, don't they?

electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)Have had particularly nice plums this summer. 👍
Fresh peaches are my most favorite, red grapes, watermelon, winesap apples (yeah, they have a faint wine taste), are my other favorites.
And I love lime juice.
And while it only has very mild taste...I love the shape of the star fruit!

Should find it in a bigger supermarket.👍

(297,928 posts)Golden apples, ortaniques (best citrus on earth), tangerines, water melon, bananas.
I also love coconut water and the jelly.
Coconut ice- cream is also delish. Coffee and coconut ice-cream with chopped walnuts or crushed shortbread biscuits - hmmmmm good.😀
electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)Like tangerines. The Google answer mentioned mandarin oranges - i really like those!
Haven't tried coconut water in a long time - didn't really care for it back then, but plentiful in some Hispanic nabes.
Love coconut though! Probably like coconut ice cream. My mom and I used to get them, put them in oven and crack them open. Tasty!
A just ripened banana is good, will eat them somewhat past that.
Golden apples? The only one I know of are "golden delicious", they tend to be too soft for me.
malaise
(297,928 posts)I actually buy limes when theyre plentiful, squeeze them, freeze the juice in ice trays and then throw in plastic containers for when theyre plentiful are scarce.
Three drinks are always available here - water, chilled coconut water and chilled limeade with brown sugar or molasses. 😀
electric_blue68
(27,296 posts)We have a "Simpley _______" bottled single juice brand; including watermelon, *lime*, ?peach, etc. Maybe a few mixed ones as well.
I should go look on line, and see what they offer currently, since they are not in my close market.

(14,307 posts)I knew a kid that hated ice cream--unfathomable to a kid like me at the time, but now I get it. Sometimes it is about textures as well as taste.
If you came to my house I would serve you something else!

(11,005 posts)Let me see. . .
Hot fudge sundae, oh, wait.
Mud pie, oh, wait.
Magic cookie bars, oh, wait.
All right, seriously, a really great apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top.
Cheesecake. (But I always put chocolate on top of it.)
Most of all, I wish I had my grandmother's recipe for her coconut cake. She took every recipe with her when she passed away. I don't think she ever had anything written down.
I would also kill for her peanut butter/coconut cookies.
I have no idea how she made them, but to this day I crave them. She died when I was 14, and I'm 69.
I can still taste those cookies.
When she died, I wanted one thing of hers.
Her cookie jar. I still have it. 💙🩵💙🩵
