(1,372 posts)I agree with a lot of what was shown in the video and DU posters thoughts. I'm not anti-social but I just don't need to be around people for prolonged periods unless there is something we're doing together. I've worked as a precinct inspector during elections where I'm the one in charge of setting up and running a voting location during elections and that's tolerable. Greeting, checking-in voters, and helping them was no problem because it only took about a minute to do that.
As for the phone, anything over two minutes is too long. Just tell me what you want to say and be brief.
One thing I definitely don't like is someone coming over to my home unannounced. I normally don't let anyone in my home so uninvited "guests" are out.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
