I’m still recovering from surgery, and don’t feel well enough for my usual weekend blastoff.

I had a small glass of wine with my lunch, like a civilized person. But that’s going to be it for now.

One thing that will never change, though:

must be a bit challenging psychologically. I've never been there. I hope to never be there. And I sincerely hope it's something you don't have to worry about anymore in a very short time.

I worked afternoons from home, pretty intense job. Some days, when I was done, I'd have a double shot of vodka on ice, and watch some late night tv. I realized I felt like a grown-up. Maybe it was the ice.

I didn't need the ritual once I retired from that job.

Hope you are doing better today. Rough condition, painful solution.

Everyone was so kind to me back when I joined up. Heck, the Lounge didn’t even exist back then. It just feels so good to return kindness with kindness.

surgery? Whatever it was, vibes for swift recovery and healing on their way.

Had an interesting cocktail tonight: Elementary, My Dear. A creation (unless something was renamed for the occasion!) for our Sherlock Holmes lecture: rye, lemon juice, orange juice, grenadine, soda water. I don't think I will be repeat the exprience.

I only like it in a New York Sour.

I underwent a trans-urethral lithotripsy for my kidney stones on Monday. Just like four years ago or so. General anesthesia, lots of blood in my urine, and a stent that makes just moving painful.

Got another one coming up a week from Monday. So I’m going to be an invalid for a while.

I like my usual energetic, conquer the world self. So this is not a fun time…
