1. I think Texas would have been much better off coming in to this game

ranked #2 vs #1 against the current National Champions. Disappointed in Sark's play calling. He normally is very good at getting the most out of young QBs.

Manning did not have a good day. A lot of hype because of his legacy - he will get better.

OSU looked very good. Great defense, excellent QB play. They were hitting on all cylinders. Great coaching staff.

Good heavens... So, in his defense, I will just (once again) point out how damned pretentious is THE Ohio State University and how much I enjoy it when Oklahoma State University fans point out that THEY are the actual OSU and thus the reason for a ridiculous trademark by their northern opponent. I have no real "dawg" in that particular fight, but I do find it funny. :evilgriin:

But, yeah... THE (eyeroll) OSU did have a great defensive game with a sufficient offense to get the win. Certainly no demolition job on Texas, but a win nonetheless.

8. With all due respect it's been The Ohio State University since 1878, eight years after its founding. As to Oklahoma

State, it was founded in 1890.

And his lackluster performance was televised nationally.

(I am a Buckeye fan, and I am not gloating about this kid. He played a fair game, didn't cheat or play dirty like Michigan or some of the southern teams.)

18. Did anyone other than Manning...

play in the game today? All I ever heard was Manning, Manning for the Heisman, Manning this, and Manning that by all the talking heads before, during, and after the game ad nauseam. Decent athlete with a historic pedigree but both way over hyped and obscenely compensated.
